Time flies...
We thought we would update you on what has been going on in the last week. We've been adjusting to life at home with Aidan. Boy has he changed how we spend our time! :)
One thing that has changed is the amount of time it takes to prepare when we go somewhere. I think someone told us to add 20 minutes of prep time for each child but since we are new to this its more like an hour.
He has been a very good baby, although mom and dad could use some more sleep.
Ranger, our yellow lab, has done really well accepting Aidan into the household. He is very curious about the new baby but he isn't aggressive or anything like that. I think he is starting to understand that he doesn't run the house anymore as the majority of the attention has shifted to Aidan. Fortunately for Ranger he is still our baby too and he gets plenty of attention from Mom and Dad.
We took newborn pictures today and we think they'll turn out really well. They should be posted on our photographer's website sometime Friday so we'll keep you updated with that information when it is available. There are some darling shots including one of Aidan wrapped in an American Flag laying in a giant baseball glove. The pictures were primarily of Aidan naked in the style of Anne Geddes and during the session there was an incident where Aidan pooped on Mike during a picture! :)
We are really enjoying our time together as a new family and love watching Aidan change from day to day!!

Aidan is here!
We went in for an induction Wednesday evening at Olathe Medical Center as Krystal couldn't wait any longer to meet our new baby boy! Contractions had already started before the induction but Krystal didn't feel them because of her high pain tolerance (wink wink). After a long night of increasingly powerful contractions Krystal was ready to push at 8am on Thursday.
After two hours of determined pushing it was discovered he had turned sunny-side-up. Showing he was as stuborn as his parents, and would not leave his comfort zone, it was determined a C-section was needed. He came out screaming and Dad and Mom both looked at each other and smiled. Mike was there to greet Aidan who weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces, 20 inches long with a full head of dark hair. He passed all of his health tests with glowing results and needless to say, we think he is absolutely beautiful.
A new "little Buck" in the world.
Krystal meets Aidan face to face- this makes it all worthwhile!
First family photo. Aidan looks good in a hat - Dad, not so much.
Proud Daddy!!!
