First Birthday - Part 1

Aidan had a great 1st birthday!! We had a 'dog' themed party since that was his first word. I will make sure and post lots of pictures. We also had his year check up yesterday. He is 30 1/4 inches tall (75th percentile) and 25 lbs 9 ounces (80th percentile). His head continues to be off the chart at 19 3/4! :) Must be all those brains!! Hope everyone is doing well. Some Firsts

So I thought I would update you with some 'firsts' for Aidan. This past weekend he took his first couple of steps by himself and then proceeded to fall flat on his face. It was so much fun! I am glad that Mike was home to see it! He has tried once or twice since then as well. He has also said his 'official' first word. Dog. Of course it wasn't mommy or daddy but dog. We were out shopping picking up some things for his birthday and he was pointing and saying dog. So of course now we are scrapping our plans for a cookie monster b-day party and now we are having a dog themed party. Can't wait :) He also got his first hair cut yesterday. I haven't uploaded the pics yet so I will do that soon and get them on here. Until then, here are some pictures of Aidan from a couple of weeks ago that my friend sent me. He is looking like such a little boy!!! Where did my baby go??

Aidan's first ouchy...

So Aidan took a tumble Sunday night during the Super Bowl when he was pushing a little walking toy. He ended up at the ER and got 4 stitches. There was lots of blood so mom didn't take it as well as Aidan did. After the initial screams and cries, he was fine. Well- he was fine up until he had to get the stitches. Mike was very calm and Danielle was so great! It helps to have a family full of nurses!! Here are some pics of the damage. I think I might let Aidan start to crawl and walk again by the time he is 5.... maybe.

Wilhite Christmas

We have had a super busy January so I apologize for the lack of posts and pictures. We have made a couple of trips to the doctor. He had a double ear infection and a sinus infection so we took our first round of antibiotics. He is such a trooper - you would never know that he is even sick. When he got weighed at the doctors office he was 26 pounds 14 ounces! Yikes! But that was fully clothed so I am sure he is much thinner! :) Here are some pics from the last month. Enjoy!
