Long overdue
Sorry it has taken so long to post to the blog. The internet was not working at the hospital and then things have been hectic around the house since we have been home- big shocker!! Things are going pretty well. Aidan is adjusting to having a little sister. He has become very attached to dad so it will be interesting to say the least when Mike starts traveling again on Monday. Brooklyn is a really good baby! I don't have any real complaints at all except she doesn't like to stay awake when I am trying to feed her! We have been bad at taking pictures this week but I will try my best to take as many as I can and keep posting them. We had our newborn pics taken yesterday so I will let you all know when those have been posted. Thanks to everyone for all their well wishes and enjoy the pics....

Brooklyn Anne Part Deux
This is Brooklyn's dad, Mike. I am at home taking care of our toddler, Aidan, and thought i'd better post some pictures as i don't want to face Krystal's wrath tomorrow at the hospital. :)
This does not include any pictures from today as we didn't download any from the camera. We'll try to add those in tomorrow's posting.

Preparing for the arrival of Brooklyn

Brooklyn meets Mom for the first time
Brooklyn Anne Buckneberg

As a proud Aunt and Sister (this is Krystal's sister Kelli) I have the privilege to announce that the Buckneberg's welcomed the newest member of their family yesterday morning at 10:14 a.m. Brooklyn Anne Buckneberg arrived weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz. measuring 19 inches long. Both Krystal and Brooklyn are doing well.
Krystal asked for me to post a few pictures because they are experiencing some internet problems at the hospital. They have taken a ton of pictures and Mike is planning on posting some to the blog either at night or in the morning when he is at home with a more reliable internet service. In the mean time, I have posted some pictures below of my beautiful niece that were sent to me via email or phone. I hope that you enjoy, we certainly are :)

Pumpkin Patch
We had a lot of fun this past weekend. Grandma and Grandpa were in town from Sioux Falls! We read tons of books, played, and went to the pumpkin patch! It is a lot different taking Aidan to the pumpkin patch this year than last. Last year- I could pose him in the pumpkins. This year- it was not so easy! His favorite part was riding the little tike bikes they had! There are some pictures of Aidan in grandpa's hunting hat from Cabellas. Too cute not to post. Enjoy the pictures- hope everyone is doing well! Aidan only has 2 1/2 more weeks as the only child. If he only knew what was about to hit him..... (take that back - if I only knew what was about to hit us...) Yikes!!

Ren Fest and Circus
We have had a very busy month!! Aidan got his first big boy haircut (although mom missing all the shaggy hair). We went to the Renaissance Festival a few weekends ago and then went to the circus today. I have been doing a really bad job of taking pictures so I only have a few from the past month. There is only one from Ren Fest because he was running all over the place and wouldn't hold still. It is his pirate pose since we were listening to some pirates sing! The other pics are from the circus today. Not too many but thought I would post. Aidan took a little nap during intermission so I thought that was a cute picture. This circus thing is totally exhausting!
Tonight he helped us organize the nursery for his little sister. Just over 4 weeks to go!! His new thing is when I ask him where mommy's baby is- he lifts up my shirt and puts his hand on my belly. This morning when he did it, he was obsessed with putting my hand, Mike's hand, and his hand all on the belly at the same time. Good thing it is PLENTY big for that!!
Hope all is going well for everyone.
